Students in Texas will now be taught to question whether there needs to be a separation between church as part of the state's newly adopted social studies/history curriculum. This frightening turn of events comes at the encouragement of the religious right who want a return to prayer in school and who want the church to play a leading role in politics. That should work out fabulously as religions have done such a great job in running their own affairs that we should, of course, let them run the country.
